The FOX 50 Family Fest and Great American Tobacco Duck Race, an activities-filled, family-friendly event which draws thousands each year, returns on Saturday October 4th from 11am until 4pm at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham. Mad Science returns to spark your imagination and curiosity with fun and kid-friendly hands-on science exploration – like the Fire and Ice experiment! Create the world’s Giant Bubbles, make ultraviolet jewelry and more.

Bounce with fun in the Tiger Bounce House and challenge your abilities with the Football Toss.

Dance your cares away with Dance N2 Shape! Tina Moore Brown is creating a special mix just for mommies and kids. She will be teaching The Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble and kid-friendly dances set to the tune of Dora the Explorer, Yo Gabba Gabba and other popular TV show theme songs. All dances will be easy to learn and great exercise for everyone!

Compete for BIG PRIZES in the smartphone Family Fest Scavenger Hunt, sponsored by VanderWall Orthodontics.

The NC Near Space team will launch a large balloon into space from Family Fest! Visit their booth and sign up to predict where the balloon will land! (Click here for more information about NC Near Space)

Flow Circus will dazzle the crowd with moving objects and moving bodies and moving minds, through their interactive juggling and comedy performance.

Cirque De Vol will WOW you with interactive aerial performances. And, back by demand,  the popular hoop jam and a variety show featuring acrobats, stilt walkers, clowns and more.

Special appearances by some of your favorite mascots – Wool E. Bull, Lucky E. Duck, Stormy and more.

Local High School Marching Bands and a DJ keep the Festival moving to the beat!

The YMCA keeps you active with Field Games, Zumba and lots more healthy fun!

Multiple Face Painting areas and Balloon Art throughout the Festival
